Artist Talks – Mercury 20 Gallery

On Saturday, March 16th from 3-5pm, Jessica Cadkin, Leah Korican, and Monika Mayer will be speaking about their work. All are welcome to come and learn more about their art and join in the conversation.

Cadkin’s work walks the line between privacy and voyeurism. By layering found 35-millimeter slides, she creates intimate and enchanting landscapes. Korican’s work investigates memory and story. She uses stencils, lace, spray paint, and twining imagery to make complex multi-layered works. Mayer’s work explores identity, connectedness, and a sense of place. She uses coffee, ink, and stitching on canvas and repurposed materials like inner tubes and fused plastic for her sculptures.
