Opening Reception – Andrea Bergen: The Last Pit Stop

Transmission gallery is pleased to present “Andrea Bergen: The Last Pit Stop,” a solo exhibition of Bergen’s cut paper collage work with vinyl wall installation.

Please join us for the Opening Reception, March 23rd, concurrent with the Artist’s Reception for Lynn Blender: Uncertain Navigation. Stop in any time between 1 and 4 pm to greet the artists and enjoy the light refreshments on our lovely outdoor deck, weather permitting. This event is free and open to the public with free street parking nearby.

Both humorous and deadly serious, Bergen brings sculptural pieces and freeform wall-mounted work to view, a riotous vision of self indulgence and impulse featuring animals run rampant in the aftermath of consumer excess. Pigeons fly off with the snacks, a mandrill looks on in alarm, tigers and bears feast while raccoons ride roughshod over the scene.
