Artist’s Reception – Dana Zed: New Intaglio at Transmission Gallery

Please join us for the Artist’s Reception, Saturday, February 10th from 1-4 pm. Drop by any time during the event to meet Dana Zed, check out her latest prints, and enjoy the light refreshments on our lovely outdoor deck, weather permitting. Events are free and open to the public with free street parking nearby.

Zed’s new etchings explore social situations through imaginative and fanciful bird and flower imagery. Joyous abundance and lyrical pattern obscure underlying concerns and fragilities referencing the tricky balance between holding onto optimism while addressing complex realities. On the one hand charming and buoyant, on the other commenting on daily concerns and conundrums with titles like “By Invitation Only,” “There’s Always Someone on the Other Side,” and “Have and Have-Nots.”
