Volunteer Coordinator –Â Be part of the outreach team to the community. You’ll work directly with the OAM leadership and board.

Grant Writing
Oakland Art Murmur is looking for highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive grant writers. You will help us make sure we never miss a deadline and will do a great job of sharing our story with the world!
Public Relations
Help OAM develop PR strategies and campaigns that create buzz and get us noticed! You may prepare press releases, keynote speeches and promotional materials. You will help OAM build positive relationships with stakeholders, media and the public.
Graphic Design
Oakland Art Murmur is looking for creative and detail-oriented designers for project-based work. You will help create visually engaging and disruptive printed materials and digital templates to highlight our organization or events.
Photographers and Videographers
Driven and experienced freelance photographers and videographers needed to document OAM on First Fridays and for events. Content will be used for marketing and promotion of OAM and OAM venues onour site, email and social media. We are also looking to document Oakland Artists for our “Oakland Originals” Profiles Series.
Administrative Support
OAM is looking for individuals to support on-going work such as Volunteer Coordination, OAM Venue Guide Distribution, mailings and more! This role is highly flexible but with deadlines to help you manage your time.
Board Members
The next few years promise to be exciting for Oakland Art Murmur. We are looking for enterprising board members to play a central role in implementing the mission, as we look to the future.
The primary responsibility of board directors is to steward the organization’s strategic direction, resources, and policies in accordance with our mission and values. A big part of this work involves active engagement on one of our board committees such as Fundraising, Programming, Community Outreach or Strategic Planning. The primary day-to-day operations are delegated and overseen by the board of directors, and supported by the volunteer staff.
As you consider this opportunity, you will be provided the board director roles and responsibilities. We are a governing board and expect the board to be active and dynamic.
