Open on First Friday – Paula Bullwinkel: Everything That Rises Must Converge

Transmission Gallery is open till 8pm on the First Friday of the month for the Oakland Art Murmur Art Walk. Come on upstairs at 770 west Grand Ave to see everything the gallery has to offer from concurrent solo exhibitions to an Artist’s Showroom with the unexpected, humorous and seriously serious all on view.

A figurative painter, Bullwinkel present us with mysterious and allegorical protagonists operating in a baffling space with improbable scenarios. They in fact might well represent our personal experiences dealing with the events of the day. Are we thrown off kilter? Have we lost our footing? The femme figures in these works seem to have indeed.
