Open Late on First Friday – Robin L. Bernstein: Hope Dies Last
April 4 @ 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
Fun and free, bring some friends and come out on the First Friday of the month for the Oakland Art Murmur Art Walk. Many art galleries stay open late, including Transmission Gallery, open till 8 pm. Check out the artwork, with plenty to see and talk about in the Transmission Gallery building at 770 West Grand Ave. with Transmission Gallery located upstairs in an open and airy neo-modern space.
At Transmission, two concurrent exhibitions are on view with a lot more art to see in the Artist’s Showroom. Just downstairs, on the street level, is GearBox Gallery, also open till 8pm. Ride share in or, if you’re driving, there’s free street parking along West Grand and the neighborhood South of West Grand.
While Bernstein’s work in particular covers complex concerns that are well worth reviewing, the work is also beautiful and intriguing, especially in person.
If you haven’t visited these two galleries before, it’s a treat!
