This is an ongoing series of work inspired by vibrant dreams and interior landscapes. Much of my work involves the process of decoding dreams, lucid dreaming, dream re-entry and trance meditation. Much of my dreams involve large buildings filled with never ending rooms and long corridors. Each space holds different energies, colors, sounds and experiences.

This ongoing series is inspired by the vivid terrain of my dream world—vibrant, shifting landscapes drawn from both my subconscious and inner emotional life. Much of my creative process centers on decoding dreams, exploring lucid states, dream re-entry and trance meditation. These practices allow me to return to and more deeply investigate the imagery, emotion, and symbolism that arise in altered states.

A recurring theme in my dreams is the presence of enormous buildings—vast, unfamiliar structures filled with endless rooms and long, winding corridors. Each space seems to hold its own atmosphere. They are charged with distinct energies, layered sounds, saturated color, and a sense of narrative that I try to capture and translate visually.

This body of work is a way of mapping the interior—both the dreamscape and the deeper layers of self that exist beyond waking life.

My name is Corinne, or you can refer to me by my moniker, Critty Smitty. I’m a Black, Queer multimedia artist based out of Oakland, California. The general themes of my work revolve around the cultivation and expression of joy while navigating sadness, grief and loss.
