Bassline are cellists Gael Alcock and Carla Kaufman
Cellist Gael Alcock gravitated toward improvisation in the late 1960’s at New England Conservatory and Bennington College, and since then, with dance, theater, poetry, and artist collaborations in the Bay Area. Gael is also a swimmer, who practices drawing and tai chi, so the painters’ themes are especially appealing. www.gaelalcock.com, and www.gaelalcockdrawings.com
Carla Kaufman is a bassist and cellist with extensive experience in jazz, performing with notables including Jules Broussard, Noel Jewkes, Calvin Keys, Clark Terry, and many more. She has also played in symphony and chamber orchestras in Berkeley, Vallejo, San Francisco, Orinda, and beyond.
