Artist’s Reception – Suzanne Long: Get A Head

Please join us Saturday, April 26th from 1-4pm! All are welcome to concurrent receptions for concurrent exhibitions at Transmission Gallery, including Get A Head, Suzanne Long’s solo exhibition in the Small Space.

Featured in our Small Space is Get A Head, a selection of 34 functional and not so functional small ceramic heads, jars, vases and cups by Suzanne M. Long, accompanied by 7 larger sculptures. Topped as if by objects from the subconscious, an apple, the moon, a bird or a simple wire twist, the heads convey a range of subtle emotions cued by slight casts of the eye or tilt of lips, aloof, observant perhaps but aware and chagrined, indifferent or hopeful.
