Artist talk: Orlando Smith aka “O. Smith”
April 4 @ 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
Join us at Manna Gallery for an Artist Talk by O. Smith. He will call in from San Quentin State Prison to share his perspectives and creative process. “These works invite the viewer to imagine the stories, realities, and lives of the many people incarcerated in San Quentin and beyond.”
Artist Talk: April 4, 6:30 – 7 pm
“Every event has a ripple effect—whether you are a free person or a bonded person—we are all people in society.” – O. Smith.
Through The Grueling Report and O. Smith’s Perspective, O. Smith challenges us to see beyond prison walls, using illustration as a tool for truth-telling. His politically charged works document realities often ignored, making space for stories that deserve to be seen and heard.
