Aleo Landeta: Entranced Tracings

Mighty Mighty Studio is proud to present the work of Aleo Landeta, an Oakland-based trans and mixed-race artist whose practice bridges drawing, painting, installation, and public programming.

Landeta’s work explores queer and trans bodies as sites of resistance, memory, and empowerment through a deeply somatic lens. Their gestural compositions blend movement, charcoal drawing, and cyanotype printing—creating rich visual narratives that transform ephemeral gesture into permanent archive.

For this show, Landeta presents a new series of cyanotype works that begin with dance and movement in the studio, translating bodily gesture into marks that function as queer record-keeping—documenting the complex histories and revolutionary potential held within queer and trans bodies.
