Transmission Gallery is pleased to present Aggregate Vision, a solo exhibition of recent work by Tiffany Schmierer in the Small Space of the gallery, at the top of the stairs.

Schmierer’s ceramic sculptures bring together an intricate vocabulary of color, pattern, texture, and form. Constructed from interlocking shapes and multi-planar facets, the works balance geometric structure with organic movement. Each element has its own surface, pattern, and character, yet contributes to a larger composition of surprising connections and visual complexity anchored by repeated motifs.

Through multiple glaze firings, Schmierer builds richly layered surfaces, combining varied colors, graphic patterns, and tactile details. Curves, angles, ridges, and open spaces intersect and overlap, creating a sense of movement and depth. As the eye travels across the work, individual forms shift in relation to one another, revealing new patterns and spatial relationships. The interplay of structure, color, and surface gives the work an animated quality, while the complexity of their construction holds the parts together as a cohesive whole.

Please join us for the Artist’s Reception, concurrent with the Reception for No Life Guard on Duty. Stop in any time between 1 and 4 pm, Saturday, November 14th to greet the artists and check out the work while enjoying the light refreshments on our lovely outdoor deck (weather permitting). All are welcome!

Aggregate Vision is one of two concurrent solo exhibitions at Transmission gallery, with more art to see in the Artist’s Showroom.
