GearBox Gallery Presents: SECOND SIGHT: Views of the Natural World, Joy Every

GearBox Gallery presents, a solo show in the Inner Room Gallery with GearBox Gallery artist, Joy Every. November 5 – December 19, 2026 Opening Reception: Saturday, November 7th 1-4pm. (Closed Thanksgiving weekend)

Concurrent with exhibition, Tilt Toward Joy, SECONG SIGHT is a solo show in the Inner Room Gallery, of the photographic imagery of Joy Every.
Every says about this work: “Second Sight is an exhibit of photographs in which what I see of the natural world is enhanced through double exposures and repeated images. As in nature, each work holds more than one moment at a time; the recurrence of forms, the rhythm of seasons and the way memory informs what I observe. For me, the camera slows down the act of seeing, whereas digital duplication enhances the feelings I get when I intensely and intentionally look at the details large and small of the world around me. Viewers are invited to pause, look again and find that the second look is often the most true.”
