Oakland Art Murmur invites you to celebrate the bold, brilliant, and diverse creativity of Oakland during Oakland Style Week. Join us for our specially curated Oakland Style Walking Art Tour that brings you inside the city’s most vibrant art spaces—each showcasing incredible work by local artists.
From contemporary galleries to artist collectives, every stop will feature a live performance or interactive experience, including spoken word poetry, dance performances, a jazz duet, and tons of artwork by local artists. Enjoy light bites, a wine reception, and the rare chance to meet the artists and creative minds shaping Oakland’s cultural landscape.

Manna Gallery presents Spoken Word by Poet Laureate Dr. Ayodele Nzinga with artwork by Sandra Wong Orloff
Mercury 20 Gallery presents a dance performance by Giovana and Giulia Sales Nascimento da Silva with three solo exhibitions on view by Leah Korican, Laura Malone and Jill McLennan
FM Oakland presents music by Devon Carsen with ceramics by Tony Natsoulas and paintings by Jeff Nebecker
Johansson Projects presents jazz duet by Jay Hernandez & Ayden Johnson from Oakland Public Conservatory of Music with a solo exhibition by Nimah Gobir (in collaboration with MoAD’s Nexus Black Art Week)
Mighty Mighty Studio presents hands-on artmaking with Sigrid Hubbell and artwork by Constance Moore (wine reception and light bites will be served)
Creative Growth presents Fashion is the Sunshine that Spotlights Everyone, an exhibition surrounding fashion by Creative Growth artists
Tickets include the guided gallery tour, live performances, art making, light bites, wine reception, tote bag by local designer Lesley Evers, a hardcover art book by Donald Mitchell (Creative Growth esteemed artist), and special discounted ticket offer to Creative Growth’s Fashion Lab after the tour.
