Sara Lisch: Muse
August 2 @ 12:00 pm - September 7 @ 5:00 pm
FreeSara Lisch’s solo show, “Muse,” is not about showcasing perfection but about honoring the cracks that allow light to shine through, illuminating the complexity of self. Lisch navigates a complex world where her external identity influences her internal wisdom and understanding of how she is perceived and defined. The constant pressure of cultural expectations, projections, and stereotypes is a persistent force in her life. Her “Muse” emerges from the layered intricacies of her being and connection to other women in their struggle to fully be themselves. Each piece in her show is a step toward wholeness, an exploration of where fragments strive to come together, much like the pieces of a mosaic form a unified and beautiful image.
Sara Lisch is a San Francisco Bay Area multimedia artist who graduated from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Her work has been exhibited at the Fuller Craft Museum in Massachusetts, the Flint Institute of Arts in Michigan, Santa Fe Clay, Virginia Brier Gallery in San Francisco, and other national and local venues. She also curates an outdoor art gallery in Berkeley, CA, and has been a member of Mercury 20 since 2017.
