WALKING TOURS | THIRD SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH

2-4pm  |  FREE

Led by Oakland curators, writers, and artists. Each tour brings visitors to 3-5 galleries, with short presentations from curators or artists at each location.

Can’t make a tour? Check out the Oakland Art Murmur self-guided Mural Tour, featuring works by Oakland organization Dragon School.

AUGUST 18 | THEME: THE ARTIST’S IMPULSE

This Saturday, August 18, join us from 2-4 for THE ARTIST’S IMPULSE themed walk. We’ll begin at Aggregate Space Gallery (801 West Grand). From there, we’ll move on to Transmission Gallery and GearBox Gallery.

At GearBox, we’ll take part in an informal conversation with Artist & Founder of the Facebook Artist-in-Residence Program, Drew Bennett, as he talks about the current Walking the Line juror-selected exhibit. For this particular show, Gearbox Gallery invited entries in any medium to explore the theme Walking the Line inspired by the Johnny Cash song.

More than just an art walk, this is a great time to get to know your fellow Oaklanders and The Town we love so much. Even better, our events are Bartable – with 12th St. and 19th St. stations nearby.

Although tickets are free, let us know you’re coming by getting your tickets here.
