Omi Gallery located both at Impact Hub Oakland and at ThoughtWorks San Francisco in the SOMA District are touted as sites for the dynamic intersectional exploration and exchange of ideas about community through the creative arts practice.
These “places,’ created by/for artisans, theorists, technicians, creative entrepreneurs, organizers, and students, provide interactive spaces to nourish partnerships between artists, businesses, institutions, and the public. Both Omi Gallery locations present Invite Only, new and traveling visual, sound, and performance works by emerging and established artists and concept-driven shared exhibitions in collaboration with other cultural institutions.
Omi Gallery programming includes special and ongoing events, performances, and exhibitions that highlight the intersections of social justice and placemaking by featuring artists who define and transcend traditional models of artmaking and creative practice.
