From Iceland to the Santa Cruz Mountains, Diana Hobson‘s solo show Fragile Memories at Vessel Gallery reveals the simultaneous fragility and resilience of nature, inspiring wonder and awe at the beauty of landscape.

Hobson’s body of work chronicles her movement through life and across the globe. Her response to her environment – the almost otherworldly landscape of Iceland, the tall redwoods of Northern California, and her time in urban London – is alive in her art, as she navigates a planet that is out of balance, a species of moth on the brink of collapse, or the cycles of grief and transformation.

In an ongoing effort to curate art that engages conversations of ecological conservation, care for our planet, and our changing relationship with the world that surrounds us, Vessel Gallery is pleased to present Diana Hobson’s Fragile Memories a collection of video collaborations with Susan Alexjander, prints, and sculptures reflecting landscape, ourselves, and the relationship between the two.
