Raised in Oakland, Diane Sherman has followed a windy road, both literal and figurative, from the trading floors of the finance world, to the hardwood floors of the yoga studios, and from the jungles of Ecuador to the mountains of Tibet.
Conceived as a way to bring the disparate parts of life together, “The Inclusive Divide” explores questions of conciousness, randomness, life, and death. Her bold bright colors are inspired by the sights of India and Latin America, and the masters of modernism, including Van Gogh, Klimt, Diebenkorn, Matisse, and Picasso.
