Dates: Sep 1st
Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Please join Mercury 20 Gallery for the First Friday festivities featuring the artists Kathleen King, KC Rosenberg and RoCoCo, and their current shows.

Kathleen King: Around + About
Using discarded materials found in city streets, dumpsters and building sites, Kathleen King creates new ambient unities, making blunt, minimalist assemblages that respond to experiences on these streets, in empathy with people and phenomena encountered.

KC Rosenberg: Nearby She Waits
Abstract works based on proximity and associations provide an ether for the phenomena of interpretation. KC Rosenberg’s carefully considered color palette sets a scene where paintings, objects and signs live as characters in a poetic conversation between text and image.

RoCoCo: The Hearing
Acknowledging recent events in American politics, journalism, and culture, RoCoCo’s installation The Hearing considers the root word “hear” and questions whether its definition still holds true for the systems that bind these facets of American society. RoCoCo is KC Rosenberg and Modesto Covarrubias.
