EVERY PASSING STORM – GALLERY AT THE WERKSHACK
February 7 - March 21
Trained in physics and photography, Francis Baker makes paintings with gum bichromate on panel. In his most recent work, the artist explores the construction of shelter and protection in order to survive and rest. Living in a city with an increasingly heartbreaking homeless crisis, Baker has embarked on a quest to reflect on the inequalities and conditions of poverty at our doorsteps. His most recent work is inspired by the resilience of the human spirit, how you can lose everything and still go on.
Gallery at the Werkshack is pleased to host the continuation of this important work in a second show containing the newest pieces of this series.
