[email protected] is happy to welcome back Christie Anne Langley for her second solo exhibition featuring her paintings and felt sculptures.
The subjects of her flora and fauna focused art are both beautiful and fragile, as many of them are endangered or threatened species. Although she expresses a sense of humor, the dark duality of the beauty of nature, along with the real threat of extinction, is what inspires her art. She hopes that those who view it recognize their own need to connect with (and protect) the natural world.
Christie’s work will be on exhibition from May 5 through June 30, with First Friday receptions on May 5 and June 2. The gallery is open for normal hours M-Sat from 10-4. On First Fridays the gallery will stay open until 9 pm.
